The International Law Society held its annual Monte Carlo Casino Night fundraiser on Saturday, April 9. The event drew more than 100 guests to the San Diego Rowing Club in Mission Beach.
Our celebrity dealers, Professor Delman, Christensen, Poplin and Dean Kransberger, entertained and 'wowed' guests, delicious desserts from Heavenly Cupcakes and music by DJ Mission from Chanel Z90.3 were in abundance the entire night. Raffles and games for guests, included blackjack, craps, and poker, provided a great time for everyone!
The International Law Society hosts its annual Casino night to raise funds for its scholarship fund and bring the highest caliber of educational programs to the TJSL community to supplement the school's global curriculum.
The night ended with the traditional date auction where Omid Rejali, Brett Bettesworth, Joey Willmore, Blake Lanz, Toni Matson, Brian Link, Katie Labonte, Tristan Younghaus, Greyson Goody, Janell Woodburry and our SBA President Jeremy Evans where auctioned off. The date auction was handled by 3L Shelby Alberts, who did a terrific job at upping the bids and making the International Law Society some money that will be used to further its mission. Congratulations to all the highest bidders.
According to ILS president Ben Aguilar: “We started planning this event back in August and after 9 months of emailing vendors, requesting donations, advertising, and working tirelessly to deliver a memorable event to our guest I was elated by the turnout. The event was everything I envisioned. Students were having fun gambling with some of their favorite professors, the music was perfect, the room smelled like flowers and cupcakes, my friends were there to see the outcome of a project a talked about for exactly 9 months. I want to thank the Executive Board of Directors of the International Law Society for all their hard work and dedication. I also want to thank TJSL’s administration, our celebrity dealers, our constituents, Professor Slomanson and Jeremy Evans for all their help and support at all stages of planning.”
